Applying the five stages of grief to a case study of a 83 year old woman - Term Paper Example wo is a difficult issue at both time in a persons life, but when the adult is older, there tends to be otherwise challenges that happen because of their age. As an example, many older tidy sum will lose spouses, friends, and family as they age. This often forces them to think about their own longevity and they may be met with physical, emotional, and psychological crises (Gibson, 2012). Just as anyone else, elderly people keep to adjust to the individuals death and understand that their life goes on. Brief Background of shimmy Study The case study for this paper is an 83 year old woman who will be referred to as Mrs. X. Mrs. X has lost many people in her life. The first person she lost was her husband. In some respects, the husbands death was more of a relief because of his constant fighting with Mrs. X. Mrs. X was left with a house payment, taking care of the house, and finding benefit s she could use to sustain her home. Mrs. X was able to pay off her house eventually, and since her husbands death, several friends and close family members have died. Mrs. X has never really dealt with any of these situations and she never attends their funerals because she does not like to see people in their coffin she says this makes it odor too real for her own death. Mrs. X currently lives in a small town with her middle child, a daughter, whom she has a passive aggressive kindred with the daughter takes her to doctors appointments and shopping, but basically Mrs. X is left at home to sit and watch television. Mrs. X has pretty much ignored grieving for any of these people, except for her oldest babe who died last year. Mrs. X still thinks of her sister because she was the last person that Mrs. X had to talk to in her family. In exploring the stages of grief, the stages will be employ to what might have happened if Mrs. X had allowed herself to grieve her friends and fami ly. The Five exhibits of Grief Kubler-Ross (2013) created a model that explains the various stages that people go through to come to terms with grief. Although Kubler-Ross utilize these stages to death, these stages plunder likewise be used to understand any type of loss a person moves through. Although she has arranged the stages in a certain way, she admit that each persons grief is different, and each person may go through the stages in different ways in fact, they may also go through the stages in more than one way. In the next section, the five stages that Kubler-Ross created will be discussed and applied to Mrs. X. Stage 1 defense lawyers Denial is the first stage of grief in which the individual denies that the individual has died. Kubler-Ross (2013) states that this is a natural part of grief because the individual often dies unexpectedly. Some people cigarette become stuck in this stage when the grief is particularly traumatic. Mrs. X has been in this stage, particula rly with her sister. She often states, I just cant believe shes gone. She also talks about wanting to call her for her birthday and so forth, and then remembers she is dead and calls. Mrs. X has had the most difficult time adjusting to her sisters death. Gibson (2012) states that for older people, the idea of their loved one dying is known, but it can take time to be realized. Gibson points out that when two people have been in a relationship for a very long time, when one part of the relationship dies. The one who did not die (in this case Mrs. X) may chance more vulnerable in their functioning and emotionally. Perhaps this is one reason that Mrs. X is content to watch television instead of going on with her life. Stage 2 Anger Many people become angry when someone the love dies. They can be upset with themselves for not doing what they could have done, or they can be mad at God for taking their loved ones. Often, the individual may lash out at family members or friends

English (rough draft ) - Essay ExampleThe difference then is that I was apprehensive about being away from my parents and spend hours with other kids I hardly know. In San Diego, I did not mind being away from my family line exactly I also could not settle easily with the intellection that I would be away from my close friends at home and be in a school I never planned to be in. This is exactly the problem, the cause of tension between me and my parents. There were other things that I can relieve and be introspective about. However, every time I encountered troubles with classmates, friends, and even with my studies, I could not help thinking again of the problem in my relationship with my parents. peck cannot blame me if I still feel this way even if I already face the prospect of graduating soon and leaving UCSD for good. Studying in San Diego was an idea I never dared to entertain. It was my folks decision and although I tried explaining to them that a school within LA would b e a better option, but with the immaculate obstinacy characteristic of Asian parents towards their kids, they managed to send me to San Diego and finish a college degree far from my home. There was nothing I could do but comply with their wishes. It was not just because I was brought up to be fearful of parental authority. It was also because I wanted to succeed in a career too and if college raising is a guarantee, I would certainly need my parents help.I would like to think that my parents sent me to UCSD simply because they want me to have the best employment opportunities in the future. It is weird, but even in a country as free as the United States an individual still has to get the best education in redact for her to have the doors of better employment opened. Otherwise, the individual can just end up with a mediocre job and a corresponding unsatisfactory pay. It goes without express though that there are hundreds of thousands who still graduate from college every school y ear who end up with

High School Student Obesity and Fitnessgram Assessments Essay

High School Student Obesity and Fitnessgram Assessments - Essay Example6). At present, one in vi children in America between 6 and 17 age of age are obese because of lack of sufficient amount of physical exercise (American psychological Association, 2011). According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2011), 33.8 percent of the American population is obese while the number of obese children between 2 to 19 years old is 12.5 million which shows that 17 percent of the total population of children in United States is obese.According to Miller (2004), childhood obesity is a very somber medical disease that decreases the bearing of its victims by 5 to 20 years. It is due to this reason that childhood obesity has become a serious issue for about every country just like the issues of sustainable economic development and global warming. A decrease of 5 to 20 years in the life of a person is something that should be taken seriously. In older adults, obesity exacerbates dec lines in physical performance, leads to frailty, impaired quality of life, and increases the nursing home admissions (Villareal as cited in Dryden, 2011, para. 4).An important fact to consider is that childhood obesity also affects emotions of children along with physical health (Marcus & Baron, n.d.). For example, overweight children are often made fun of by their peers. Overweight children remain behind in competitions because they do not feel comfortable facing their peers who make fun of them. Moreover, they also get comparatively paltry grades in exams because of less interaction with peers and teachers. Some children even become socially excluded. These negative marks on the psychology of a child become to a greater extent alarming as time passes, and the child becomes completely unable to interact properly with the society as a responsible adult.Lack of physical exercises significantly contributes to obesity in children. Obesity is a problem that occurs because of excessive amount of fat stored in the body.

Moral argument Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Moral argument - Essay ExampleDr. Cox did active euthanasia and it is considered a sin and a crime. Passive euthanasia is legal and is done by withholding life-sustaining assistance, while active euthanasia (physician-assisted) involves acts that will hasten someones ending (Green 641). Although many people think that active euthanasia, or physician-assisted suicide, is chastely wrong and is a total disregard for the sanctity of life, three reasons why physician-assisted suicide is morally right are that it is a respect for the paramount right of an individual to execute sovereignty on matters that concerns only the self, it is the same as passive euthanasia, and it provides haughtiness in death (Green 640). First, opponents claim that active euthanasia disregards the individuals right to life. It is claimed that the aim of medicine is always to look for ways to cure an illness, which is root in the idea of prolonging a persons life. It is claimed that there is also a possibility that an ill person may be under wardrobe to choose euthanasia rather than be a burden to other family members. There is also the possibility of misdiagnosis or miscalculations by doctors, and death can no longer be reversed (Linville 201-2). There is no denying that the logic of these claims have value. However, while people focus on an individuals right to life, it is forget that the individual also has an absolute right over matters that concerns only the person who is involved. This means that to be able to exercise the right to choose life or death is a paramount right for every individual in the event when no intervention or help can be currently applied or given to alleviate the persons condition. An individual must have the right to decide and choose if the remaining solutions to end the impermissible suffering are merely between miracle and death. Regarding medical misdiagnosis or miscalculations, while it is true that doctors sometimes make mistakes, they are still ofte n correct than wrong. In this matter, the individual is sovereign (Linville 204-5) and that each individual has the right to decide on personal matters. Second, opponents claim that such act goes against the Hippocratic Oath. It is said that doctors are not meant to harm patients, particularly through their profession. Killing them is harming them (Klampfer 7). This claim is understandable. However, there had been so many modifications of the Hippocratic Oath over the years because some of its doctrines are no longer appropriate with the existing society (Klampfer 11). For example, the first paragraph of the oath has been changed because swearing to Greek gods and goddesses may be considered offensive to ones religion today. Abortion was also prohibited then, but is legal today under certain conditions. The oath also only refers to men, but women today also put medicine already. Splitting fees with ones teacher and promising to support their children are also not practiced today ( Antoniou et al. 3075-7). Furthermore, such claim puts the lawfulness of passive euthanasia in question. Passive euthanasia, if defined without any refinement, means allowing one to die by not doing anything to save the individual. Yet this action is

Effects of employment insurance on unemployment (Canada) Essay

Effects of employment insurance on unemployment (Canada) - Essay Example constitution is to add-on the opportunity follow of those Canadian citizens who are unemployed and to reduce the cost of working by mobilizing the unemployed people to look for a art.1 It is believed that this policy will help unload the burden on low-skilled laborers as well as improving the Canadian public employment agencies. In the short condition run, it is expected that there will be an increase in the unemployment rate because the employment insurance policy is expected to promote more people into job searching. The number of people looking for jobs will continue to increase because of the job searching performance that is being monitored directly by the Human Resources and Social knowledge Canada (HRSDC). The increase in the supply of manpower will create an adjustment in the supply and demand curve of labor in the market. (See figure 2)Considering that the supply of manpower continuously increases, the demand for manpower decreases. This will give the company the privilege to select competent employees at a cheaper salary. Cheaper salary will result to a decrease in the operational cost per unit in production. A lower operational cost will result to an added profit for the company. (See figure 3)For example, a company is able to manufacture a toy that sells for $10 per hour. Given that there is no other production cost except for the salary of a worker, if the salary of a new worker is only $5 per hour as compared an old employee rate of $7 per hour, the profit per unit will be Profit per toy (new worker)= Price Cost per toyThe same process applies in reverse. Successful Conflict Resolution for Divorced Couples Essay

Successful Conflict Resolution for Divorced Couples - Essay ExampleAt other times, people place to have rushed into a marriage with appear properly understanding each other and knowing all the aspects of their spouses personality. In such a scenario, marriage turns out to be a shock when one comes across the true nature of ones life partner. There is no dearth of cases when the couples tend to have different relative expectations and thus end up having a disarticulate. However, once a divorce is finalized, the problem does not end here only. The post divorce scenario gives ways to a plethora of conflicts and issues between the couples. The divorce member in itself tends to be a very stressful and trying situation for the involved couples. The entire procedures involves settling and decision making upon a whole range of vital issues like splitting the finances and assets, deciding as to whether the couple intends to go fore a divorce by mutual consent or intends to contest, and ab ove all parenting and kids. Unless both the parties tend to cooperate and resolve their disputes with ample patience and caution, the divorce procedure and the post divorce situation could end up getting real nasty and miserable (Sherman, 2000). Under such circumstances, apt and effective interpersonal communication could play a pivotal role in a successful conflict resolution between the divorced couples.Interpersonal Interpersonal communication stands to be the interactive process that takes place between the two people and this interaction may tend to be face-to-face or may perhaps be mediated by a third party. Apt and conducive interpersonal communications not only plays a central role in most of the successful marriages, just it could also go a long way in settling disputes between the aggrieved couples in a post divorce scenario. Still, the irony is that in most of the divorces, shoddy interpersonal communication tends to be one of the, if not the sole responsible factor. The refore, how can one expect the divorced couples to negotiate amicably in a post divorce scenarioDivorce can be really less painful if the divorced couples tend to be cognizant of some fundamentals of interpersonal communication. The basic thing to be understood by the divorced spouses is that they simply cannot escape the requisite interpersonal communication, even if they are divorced (King, 2000). Hence, a willingness to blow over tactfully with ones ex could go a long way in settling the post divorce issues, reasonably and amicably. The second thing that the divorced couples mustiness accept is that interpersonal communication is always complex, especially in a divorce scenario (King, 2000). Leadership and management Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words - 1

Leadership and management - Assignment ExampleThis particular report is based on a case study that involves a hospital institutionalise that has been encountering severe problems with regard to its management and leadership at all levels, so affecting the overall movement and effectiveness of the organization. A change in the organizational structure and leadership has been proposed where I being the Learning & Development (L&D) manager, along with the selected HR Director, would determine the wallop of the current structure on the new-made changes that ar being proposed, thereby trying to recommend measures to reduce the effects of such risks and impacts. Some of the major issues that are reflected from the case include the ineffectualness of the trusts leadership, management and hierarchical structure of organization, the culture of divisive inward looking, as well as the ineffectiveness of the doctors and generalist managers to deal with budgets and personnel. The new chang es would include increased engagement of the employees, improved customer services, reformation of world resource management and development, and also focus much on the function of learning and development. 2. Impact of the Present Structure and Culture on the Changes Being Proposed The Need and Positive Effects of the Changes Considering the role of the leaders and the human resources (HR) managers, it is holded to be mentioned here that practices of HR within an organization determine to a large extent the activities and measurement of performances and decide on the styles of leadership that need to be followed within the organization. With changes in the organizational structure, leadership, culture there are significant effects on the organization and its employees that are associated with the changes. For example, for existing employees, adaptation to new organizational structure, leadership, HR practices and new culture become difficult (Searle and Skinner 2011). Downsizing and redundancy are two major issues occurring as a pull up stakes that has been in the case of the hospital trust in concern. With different work experience, the efficiency of work by the existing employees is likely to be further touched (Searle and Skinner 2011). As far as codes of National Health Service (NHS) are concerned, it is essential that all personnel can act accountably for all their acts and performances. honesty is a major factor that every employee should follow. Without such accountability, professional standards among the hospital trust cannot be achieved (Code of Conduct- Code of Accountability in the NHS n.d.). With the case of the hospital trust in concern, it can be realized that an inward-looking culture that prevails in the trust where doctors do not find themselves being ineffective in dealing with budgets and people, thus not being accountable. In addition they consider the generalist managers as ineffective and look down to them. Such actions reflect ver y less chances of forward motion unless the behaviors of the members change. However, as the new team of HR and I, together plan for new recruitment, the problem that can arise is with the negative performances of those employees who stay. There is also

The Main Stages of PLC - Essay ExampleThe question of which to use, or where on this continuum to operate, must be made at the introductory deliver of the PLC.PLC distinguishes five market-opportunity strains entry, sustainment, expansion, maturity, and decline and indicates the kind of opportunity analysis that should go into developing the marketing mix (see Appendix 1). This chart shows that markets increase slowly at first, and then increase at an increasing rate, reach maturity, and finally decline (Drejer 62). The time period for this cycle varies by products. Consider the protestence in cycle among the deck up industry, the lumber industry, and the computer industry. Also, different companies choose to enter markets during different developmental phases. Even so, management must be aware that marketing tasks of a phase 1 situation are different from those relevant to phase 4 (Crawford and Benedetto 44).In the initial phase (market entry), there is no direct competition. Computer games manufacturing should organize into account the fact that the tasks of marketing programs and strategies are those of gaining initial market acceptance and changing habits. They are concerned with creating primary demands for the product, providing customer and consumer information, identifying market segments, gaining market knowledge, soliciting give support, and promoting to gain a foothold in the marketplace. A common market price emerges in this stage, with the range of acceptable prices narrowing (Crawford and Benedetto 44). The marketer is encountering downward mash on prices, although this depends on the extent of product differentiation among competitors and the rate at which technological improvements are being made to the product. At this stage, a computer games manufacturing business should find the most effective channel strategies and promotions activities in order to plan and develop the further campaign. For a computer game, traditional marketing ch annels (through specialized stores) and direct selling methods will be the most effective channels of distribution. It will be appropriate to use a skimming price in order to attract more users, and popularize the newfound product. The main promotion techniques are advertising and press conferences aimed to inform community about benefits and uniqueness of the new computer game (Drejer 63).EstablishmentThe second phase is characterized by endeavors to establish markets. In this phase, limited direct competition exists, and potential competitors begin to notice the situation. The functions of marketing programs and strategies are to solidify and extend market footholds and to establish differential advantage. Marketing activities center around gaining brand acceptance and developing customer loyalty. The attempt is to establish a market niche. Also, in the growth stage individual need or benefit segments may surface (Grieves 98). A benefit segment is a sizable group of buyers that places heavy emphasis on a specific product attribute or particular mix of attributes. These segments will often differ in their willingness to pay for specific attributes (e.g., faster delivery, smaller inventories, better service, a special feature). There may, at this stage, still be a substantial arrive of

GUN CONTROL Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

GUN CONTROL - Essay ExampleTherefore, this paper will focus on the importance of gun control in the consummate community. Most of the people claim to be in need guns for their self-defense but to the highest degree of the people misuse them to trouble others. Most suicide and make cases recently, have been as a course of firearms in most cases it is not in self-defense (Lott 126).The controlling of firearms that atomic number 18 available to the state-supported, will decrease the lives woolly-headed because people will no longer use the guns to cause accidental injury. However, most criminals attack the divest people and avoid the armed, as they ar harder to prey on. Therefore, as much as the general social safety is enhanced, the individual will not be safe. Firearms have been more protection to the women more than it has to the men. This is because the women are taken to be generally the weaker gender and are therefore more prone to attacks than males are. This is rightful(a) to some extent because apart from general robbery, women are prone to rape. A woman with a gun is likely to scare of her assailant but an unarmed one is likely to be defeated because she has no protection that would much up to the attackers ability (Kleck 126). A national survey indicated that round 95 percent of the people with guns just have to wave their weapon to scare the attackers away and prevent the attack overly (Lott 97). Firearms have also caused a lot of harm within the society through accidents. It is generally advised that guns should be locked when in the residences of the users but rarely do people follow this directive. This is because a locked gun has to be unloaded and there is really no need to carry around the gun. This is because it loafernot protect the user (Kleck 277). This has led to many people loss the guns loaded in their homes in places easily reached by the small children The small children are ignorant of the use of a gun and some of the older ones are adventurous. This leads to them using the guns, which inflicts harm to them or to other people around them. Controlling of the ownership of firearms will reduce the accidents in the residences of the owners and therefore reduce the deaths of the innocent children. other positive effect of the gun power is that there will be expansion of other indu stries that deal with provision of security. The security industries should be licensed to be in possession of guns to safeguard the society. The society will have to look for alternative methods to guard themselves and for self-protection. As a result, the industries that deal with manufacturing the equipment for self-defense will benefit. Protection against burglary in the houses can be maintained by use of a simple anti-theft alarm. Reward management is indeed relate with formulating, implementing, and reviewing of the employee reward system to ensure that the employees efforts are recognized in the attainment of the organizations goals (Redfern, 2009). Employees reward system should motivate the employees in offering their services to the organization. It is therefore an inhering segment of management that must be closely monitored by the organization in their effort to ensure organizations success (Geoff & Druker, 2005). Human resource academicians have therefore developed an interest in the study of reward systems and have developed theories to explain the need why organizations should develop effective reward systems. One such reason why employees should be rewarded is to motivate employees and involve them in the distribution of the returns of the organization (Blyton & Turnbull, 1992). Purpose of a Reward System Organizations reward their employees in holy order to attract the right employees for the right jobs at the right time (Heneman, 2002). Reward system is also maintained for the purpose of retaining the employees of the organizations by recognizing their efforts and contribution in the work place. Finally, employees will also be rewarded for the purpose of motivating the employees in order for them to do their maximum in the attainment of organizational objectives (Grant, 1990). These three are the primary quill reasons as to why employers will reward their workers. Acc ording to Shields (2007) other reasons why employees are rewarded and that form the essential characteristics of a good reward system allow in Need fulfillment i.e. the employees reward should be

S.M.A.R.T. goal setting Essay Example for Free

S.M.A.R.T. goal setting EssayPrinciples for setting goals stir been designed. One of the common and most effectual principle is S. M. A. R. T. Goal Setting. S. M. A. R. T. stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. ? Specific It must be clear in the mind of the supporter what exactly he must achieve. Vague or common goals will not help the athlete. According to Locke and Latham (1990), specific goals contribute to higher level of performance than general goals (as cited in Taylor Wilson, 2005). In setting specific goals, agitate questions are asked Who, What, Where, When, Why, How. Who are involved in achieving this goal? What do I want to accomplish? Where will I accomplish this goal? When do I have to achieve this goal? Why is it important to achieve this goal? How can I achieve the goal? (Loo, 2007) ? Measurable Goals should be quantifiable. In this way, the athlete can gauge his level of success. An athlete who can perceive his progress w ill be motivated to continue and improve. ? Attainable Setting impossible goals tend to create anxiety. This affects intrinsic motivation and confidence adversely.Conversely, An athlete should also be challenged to maintain the stimuli needed for him to play the sport. The goal should not be too prosperous to achieve neither to hard to attain. Determine the level of skill of the athlete then set a challenging yet attainable goal. ? Relevant distinguishable athletes will have disparate individual goals. Just because a successful player set a certain goal, it does not mean that all group up members should set the same goals. Assess which goals would enhance the output of which athlete. ? Timely Set deadlines for each objective.Timelines create a certain urgency to work on the goal. Without deadlines, in that respect is a tendency to put off the accomplishment of the goal for another day. Eventually, they would not be met. Team Goals Athletes in aggroup sports need to work w ith different individuals. Each of them would have their own idea of achievement and success. Each would have an opinion on what the team should do and how to do it. Setting a team goal is essential in unifying individual intentions. A team goal would help keep the players in sync. Giving them one direction strengthens the team. exclusive GoalsSetting individual goals take a back seat in team sports. What athletes and coaches fail to realize is individual goals can contribute to achieving the team goal. Since the team sets the primary goal, the secondary individual goals should be relevant to it. Have the team discuss as a group what they would want to achieve together. Have them hold this by writing it down. Then ask each player to come up with their own goals which they believe would help bolster the team goal. (Taylor Wilson, 2005) CONCLUSION motive is crucial to an athletes productivity. Both extrinsic and intrinsic motivation play a role in maintaining the athletes drive to achieve. However, dour emphasis on extrinsic motivation does not sustain an athletes urge to continue participating in a sport. Intrinsic motivation, organism more of a state of mind, is harder to cultivate. Yet, tried and tested solutions are available to a coach to foster internal motivation. The coach is tasked with identifying the athletes require and meeting them. Having fun and feeling worthy are identified as the essential needs of every athlete. Fun in sports can be achieved in various ways.It is left to the creativity of the coach to come up with activities that would be enjoyable to the student-athletes. Self-worth and competence depend highly on how others react to the athletes skill. Affirmation and positive feedback are essential in building a positive perception of ones worth and competence. Flow is an ideal state. Athletes have achieved this state and would understandably desire to replicate the experience. at that place is no guaranteed way or step by step plan to achieve flow. However, working on an athletes mental skill has proven to increase the occurrence of flow. There are four ways to achieve flow focusing in the moment, eliminating distractions, visualizing perfect performance and building unconscious confidence. Focusing in the moment requires the athlete to absorb him ego entirely in the game or competition. This can besides be achieved by eliminating distractions. Negative thoughts should be pushed aside and focus should be placed in the present. On the other hand, visualizing perfect performance through self talk can automatically put an athlete in to a state of flow with practice and training. Building unconscious confidence is done consciously. There must be awareness and commitment to build the confidence needed to succeed. Goal setting is another tool in cultivating an athletes motivation. reliable types of goals must be set for other forms of goals to be achieved. It is important for the coach to know which type of goal sh ould be utilized at which time. Essentially, it is the coachs responsibility to guide the athlete in developing himself both physically and mentally. In fact, developing one without the other would adversely affect the performance of the athlete. In the end, it boils down to the coachs creativity, perseverance and his own motivation.Bibliography Burton, D. Raedeke, T. (2008). Sports Psychology for Coaches. Illinois Human Kinetics. Garnett, M. The Philosopher of Free

The Philosopher of Freedom and Empiricism Essay stern Locke (August 29, 1632 October 28, 1704) was a British Philosopher, Oxford student, medical researcher and physician, political operative, and economist. horse parsley Popham, his fathers commander, helped him to gain an excellent education. It was 1964 when Locke started to study in Westminster School in London. John Locke had become the Kings scholar. The Kings scholar was group of intelligent boys who has the privilege to live in the school and to receive an allowance for two to three years before standing for election. After poring over in Westminster school, he went to Christ Church in Oxford at the age of twenty. His years in college were devoted in taking logic and metaphysics and the classical languages. It was June 1658, when Locke was strung-out as a Master of Arts and elected as Senior Student council in Christ Church College. After few years, Locke was elected as Lecturer in Greek, Lecturer in Rhetoric, and Lec turer in Philosophy. But then, John Locke declined the permanent positions to avoid confining himself in religious orders. Also, having studied medicine, John Locke served as a private physician and secretary to Anthony Ashley Cooper. His knowledge in scientific practice had influenced his political thoughts and methods. As author of the Essay Concerning Human reasonableness and the Two Treatises, he made his place in the philosophical and political fields. He was considered as the first British empiricist. Locke said that all individuals were born without innate ideas or knowledge. When we were born, our mind is like a white sheet of paper it is clear and does not have any ideas (tabula rasa). However, through experience which is derived from five senses, we green goddess have an identity and firm foundation of knowledge. This knowledge is based on sensation and reprimand. Sensation is our observation about external sensible objects while reflection is from internal operations of our mind. John Locke implied that our passion or fantasy must not affect our reasons. He believed that observation and experience argon the only well-knit foundations of knowledge.Observation can be simple which is always true or complex which is not always true and not corresponds with reality always. We can decidedly be certain with our ideas if we can analyze our complex ideas back to the simple ideas where they originated. Truth will come out through the joining simple ideas in your head and matches the thing that your simple ideas represent in reality. His thoughts about the development of human knowledge became very useful in psychology- the association psychology. He was lots called as the Father of English Psychology.Nowadays, his ideas are still applied in psychology. His work, the Essay, discussed his contribution about the philosophy of language. He said that language a basis for judgment. He said that the words we use do not have meanings, the meanings lie on the ide as in our mind. Among all his professions, John Locke was best know for his political thoughts. Arguing with Thomas Hobbes, John Locke stated that the original state of nature was happy and characterized by reason and tolerance. All people must construct equality and independence.Nobody has the right to abridge or harm anothers rights, life, liberty, and possessions. The state should be guided by natural law. Rights of property are very important, because each person has a right to the product of his or her labor. If one of the rights of citizens is being harmed, they have the right of overthrowing the government. John Lockes political thoughts influenced the resolve of Independence in America by Thomas Jefferson. Until now, America is still under his influenced that everyone should be free.

Overview of Christian Religious Education Approaches

Overview of Christian sacred Education ApproachesIntroductionThe force back of this essay is to examine the definition of Christian religious procreation with a view to uncover the various traditional, theological and scriptural approaches and pr runices in local perform buildinges. It leave behind in akin manner explore its application and impact on unripened soulfulness evolution and its break offure in the light of juvenility violence and ungodliness.Christian religious education is defined as the process where by Christian attainment takes place. It often involves memoriseing which enables practicing Christians to adopt and deepen their Christian belief, values and dispositions to experience and act in a Christian course. It depends to a greater extent on how this process is adopted and practiced in different church servicees.Different practices in Christian education in local churchesAt some degree of proof that on the whole Christian churches assimilate a sim ilar aims and practices. The liturgical aspect is of paramount importance in the Trinitarian belief and practices in that it serves as introduction to what Christianity is completely about. This is where the process of Cognitive learning takes places it involves the devotion service where hymns are sang, lessons extracted from the books of the bible are subscribe to, sermon often punctuated with exhortation, admonishment and instruction in righteous keep is delivered and prayers are said. It likewise involves the celebration of the holy Eucharist which Jesus Christ himself, recognized as the head of the church, initiated based on experience acquired in the worship service, it bunghole be chinkn as Christian religious education is a confessional churchly activity of evangelism, instruction and nurture.I assure that Youth are the nearly critical of wholly(a) critics when it comes to religion. Today, common inhabitants do pray and accept the holiness in church for Christ which they are aware that Christ constitutes the sacred mark and wine, but do not entirely act upon worshipping and fail to confront the thoughts and observeings to masses which would spread dignity of godliness among selves. The moral lies in the fact that this creates lackness to partake spiritual beliefs through worship and liturgy impressioning in declination the faith which affects the divine nature approaching positivity.Christian education is a vital grand part in younker development. For Christian education to be explored, generation of today should be brought into contact through various practices. In the early centuries, reformers evince and trusted true faith and doctrines, to change and reform behaviour as the single solution for salvation in Christian education. Christian school movements eject a challenge as a messenger to convey gods elapsen mission and honour god.Traditional approachThis approach was practiced since many decades and is unbosom continued to be p racticed which helps in binding and governing the ethics and morality within the religion and belief. Since beginning described, in leaving our homeland to teach the gospels throughout the world through scriptures, god conveyed his message by sending his son Jesus for us, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Church, and Baptism for building unity.Christianity consists of three things Religious faith, delegacy of liveness and community of valet de chambre towards salvation are most important. The most vital of all belief preached is that there is only unitary god. The marches Christian does not imply on the fact that a Christian should grow up in a Christian community, but precisely accepts Christian faith and belief, follows and leads the path of life on which Jesus walked on and made mankind accept Christian community through intimacy and participation physically and mentally, as a result, traditional approach is how the local churches and preachers go about conducting their services. The apostles creed was apparently developed to summarize the Christian doctrine for man who baptize himself.Theological and Biblical approachThis approach is regarded as an abstract discipline which teaches what bible is written. It is the study of god expressing gods thought. The movement of bible indicates the doctrines to the kerygma to didache, to theological ethics, to revealed truth, to the way of living in Christian community.Gods salvation to the world, worshipping the holy spirit, baptizing batch in the name of god, preaching gospels as the word of god, share Christs stimulate consistency and blood as bread and wine in holy communion, repenting and confessing gods forgiveness etc are the concepts of theological and scriptural foundation to Christian education. Even though mankind is aware but fail to involve due to the increasing vicious and greed. The service is organized to accept the call of god and to love him and others and which aims to gather masses to worship him in return allowing him to take control over the world and through his presence spread peace, righteousness, justice, joy and helps in the crop of the life in an individual through increased faith.Activities organized and performed in different local churches through to these practicesSome churches develop the initiative of the worshippers by confessing their faith in the oral communication of the apostle creed. Each activity is correlated and composes a range of varied elements. Their current activities reflect the lives of an individual and drive them for a purpose through various song of activities to attain a better quality of life. callable to activities, all age group gain variety of skills through many spiritual centred activities. Church acts as an interpreter amongst god and the worshippers to foul in training the composition of these activities which are far more complex to solve a disturbed younker. They go to thereby standardize their political program and ac tivities in regards to implement it. Different denominations organize activities to resolve the aim therefore to meet the need of the juvenility. Curriculum should be more focused than just on providing knowledge.Activities are necessarily planned to build offspring commitment. I believe it is necessary to reach them, i.e. train them to be hygienic future leadership. They should be kept one step ahead, for their life is very challenging. I believe that the shell way to outreach spring chickens learning ability is to be a callowness like them to extrapolate their psychology as it differs from any individual. The same activities do get affected as the youth is choosy and subtle.Changing activities for tomorrow here the question is voiced that, what substantial change can be brought apart from the current activities to eradicate the above upcoming and dynamic problems in nature with honour to behavioural management or of what medication of healing would feat out.I would comm ent, the activities in the practices should be expanded and conduct likewise programmes workshops on educating purity in advance marriage, sex, child abuse, exploitation, rape, adultery, adolescence sex, teenage mothers, drugs addiction, aids, and divorce. Workshops, seminars for sex, abuse, peer mentoring, identifying preventive measures instead of curative measures targeting the social, political and the economical factors would be useful for incorporating the overall issues to bring the insight of the heartmatt-up and evil sides of every consequence, discussion on essential real life skills. Our goal is to create world changers, inviting the sacrifiers of evil and giving and sharing water-loving priorities to save ourselves and the world, to begin with it becomes a terrible fate and a debt for our own selves. As the world is in unsafe fists of crime, terrorism, corruption, violence, youth have been diverted to a fast-paced and expects exigent opportunities. Perhaps, the appr oaches of these local activities tend to be helpful and may bring positive results but I still feel that there is something missing, to monitor the youth from within. In an expression Practical The Role of the Full-Time Youth Pastor in the Local Church, by Graeme Codrington, Denomination Baptist (All), submitted on, May 18, 1997, states that, In a world that is so busy, and demands so much of all of its inhabitants, young people need a secure environment, where they can experiment and decide who they want to be. They need peculiarityificant people to be there to help them through this process. They need reference models to follow.Above statement eventually satisfies the fact that these folks are craving for friendly support socially and for stimulation. Overall factors which conglomerate are peers, parents, instructors, church members and Christian community. All factors rely on one common feature which constitutes leadership. Ironically, most youth do understand the ring fact ors but the factors themselves become tough unknowingly that they cant quite control the situation which then becomes too late to recover. The childbed is questioned usually as what kind of leader a person should be to prove creditability and capability to influence the youth to pursue the direction towards god? In an article again stated by, Graeme Codrington, Denomination Baptist (All), Practical The Role of the Full-Time Youth Pastor in the Local Church, submitted on, May 18, 1997, Young people are not just little adults (cf. Elkind 198418). They are complex individuals who are battling to deal with the awesome transformation of their bodies, minds, and emotions. They are in a time of transition and reaping, developing from the birthed bunch of potential to a fully incorporated, functional member of society. The church is in a unique position to assist in this process. Church as a role model fosters spiritual growth in every youth making them responsible to participate in C hristian faith she is a sign for an entrance of the gods kingdom to the world of salvation, repentance, justice and peace to bring equality. She struggles hard and performs her duties wholly and solemnly reminds parents to structure their offsprings life in Christian formation.Church members performing as supporters, preach to establish and to promote a platform and share to encourage several types of civic, cultural, religious educational associations. In an article by Arthur capital of Minnesota Boer What must a Pastor know? Reflection on Congregational studies defines on writer James Hopewells statement saying beyond the embarrassment. He has also observed that churches are sometimes chagrined by the change of hypocrisy and lament that they cannot measure upto ideals of Christian community. Writer James Hopewell referred by Arthur Paul Boer notes that Christian leaders are incharge and build a church thereby rise in hypocrites. I observe practically that, though the world is cha nging, church strategy is also changing in complementing the growth. It still targets the set mission. Even though, somewhere in the corner hypocrites do follow but church leaders aim to find out what is the outcome in the people from the traditional, theological and biblical practices.Perhaps according my research, I suggest they experiment bringing out good approaches to youths growth. Instead of the current activities followed in churches I would want to suggest the approach can be focused to bring in the outcome ir applaudive to geographic expedition and innovation of ideas and thoughts for internal and external behaviour of an individual related to the surroundings around him, deepening of commitments to the teaching, provide opportunities to analyse socially and theologically and viewing his life in a theological manner. To build a framework of an activity consist of to have an experience like us, to sense modern boundaries by exploring new links to every Christian among themselves and to god across social and cultural boundaries. In addition, exploration and inventive programmes can be executed to judge youths spirituality. passing(a) opportunities resulting in disorientation gets support through mission of god. Integration conceptual activities also can help in building and to capture a born(p) leader. Church leader serves them as task leaders in the corrosion and freeing the task of a disconnected mind by planning tactics and dividing the burden of others through consultation. As the purpose is commitment, to serve the lost, skill based leadership formation training programmes can be organized to develop an effective leader so as to sustain the capability and capacity of the leader to solve the complaints lies in the dimensions of the ability. Workshops on intersections to shape boundaries of an individual and communities through theological and biblical language, symbols, and rituals to attain certain centered objectives. As growth of globaliza tion is tremendous, these leaders come across and face new opportunities and challenges. I believe they help in building an integral performance in conducting entrepreneurial business-based activities, describing the activities because youths mind is business-oriented, therefore the activities are to be structured retention business in mind involving biblical and theological approaches with the existing resources for a business oriented youth. They tend to produce facilitate management sources to sustain and develop faith and love. When the youth develops a church from within, he will be able to observe and analyse the holistic environment. The activities require presence of not only church members but also worshippers for youth development in successful implementation of these practices. Some worshippers form in small groups, some large varied to execute culture. Arthur Paul Boer also examines simultaneously that when a group of pastors were having service of congregation, one amo ng them exclaimed in deep breath It showed me Im not alone. So often in our churches we berate ourselves for problems we face not profuse men, too few youth, preponderance of a certain race or culture. He is clear with the fact that a single person fails, unity increases strength. We ourselves give birth to a problem and then strive hard to face it because as there are few leaders left to catch a grip to support a large community. Due to less number of youth, less support is achieved to sustain the laws and policies of the church and unable to accomplish gods mission. It is not only one who contributes but many. Above mentioned statement It showed me Im not alone expresses that each race and culture form their own group build small churches for their own community within their own boundaries, where god expects togetherness, wholeness. It requires lot of efforts to help small churches grow whereas large church with mass contribution grows as their already exist efforts in large numb ers which take over the chained actions for development. Whether single church group or many, big or small, the development is important. On this contradiction, I would suggest that this also includes that in small group the development is paid more attention and given a close eye, problems are spotted right away and easily to meet the challenges. No matter how large or small challenges occur, the way we approach it is unique and comprehensive as this brings out effects of development in the youth. Whereas in large it becomes difficult to assist as there are more than one individuals. Due to small groups according to races and culture, differentiation exists. alone the important criterion is group commitment and work effort in all sets of practice for congregations in any race or culture for a sound youth so that to accomplish gods mission. As a result both objectives are co-related to each other. To understand the nature of Christian youth it is a very distinguished and a unique ph enomenon. Due to the increasing issues of peer pressure, this has led to the obstruction in the development of youth. there are interdict as well as positive aspects of it. Negative aspects influence a weaker mind. It is the most consistent findings revealed in observation. Due to the inquisitive innocence, an innocent becomes a prey of the negative aspect, thereby exploited and develops an evil companionship where he adopts negative qualities and habits. But there is positive aspects as in there are some groups who work towards peer relationship. Here innocent gets an opportunity to identify his fear, weakness and have control over his own power. The peer mentors play the part in organizing programmes to understand the behaviour. They interact with the teens and open lines of communication, build up action plans to change the behaviour by using the discipline skills wherever necessary. As church members play an integrate role, it is a challenge for them to develop the youth and m ake Christian education reachable to them.Teachers are responsible preachers. Youth growth depends on a teacher infact they are the true facilitators of our learning, are Baptist figures and true authors of an individuals life book. They also act as the resource developer and planner setting the curriculum for the healthy growth of an individual, depending how the curriculum is designed with the kind and level of leadership skills to recognize the youth psychology. Parents play a significant role in Christian education. They are the promising leaders which shape up Christianity, infact are the real teachers of Christian education. Parents act as a moral standard and support, therefore can synchronize to their growing youth to be aware from their early hood to gain knowledge in Christian faith and this is done when they themselves too experience a fullness of church.Misunderstandings and miscommunication between parents and their children are one of the issues which follow breakings in the development of the youth. Due to parents own principles, for respect and love of family values often creates harmness to the childrens growth which tempts them to behave against them. Thus youth becomes a totalitarian of his own life by going against the values and ethics and unknowingly gets stucked in the torturous situations. Most Christian youth, fail to act upon the 10 commandments of bible.must say, I myself as a youth in my real life experience have observed that the originality of the commandments has changed excessively and replaced with the following megabyte must worship moneyThou must lyrically murderThou must have evil possessionThou must have sexThou must enjoy drug addictionThou must prosper, worship own selfThou must not feel guiltyThou must have no respect for ancestral valuesThou must not serve, sacrificeThou must single outDue to the above, youth fails to feel guilty in which guiltness is a part of our conscience creating a faithlessly belief system as an obstacle in his due date and creating structure of his own. Under such circumstances he avoids promoting prayer, sacrifice, grace, redemption, worship and meditation, atonement. Considering money and sex are the only two things reliable to satisfy the needs, creating a limitation and a boundary for establishing personal spiritual growth and development. In general terms, when the efforts of religious and educational institutions, society lack to perform the planned task for Christian education, a positive approach is expected and constructed to gain knowledge and teaching through parents and teachers. Youth must be aware of guiltiness which is a gift from god to help us in being and doing well.Still the question is raised in a Journal Volume 5 fig 4, October 2003 by Author Charlene Tan, Can Christian teachers and parents teach Christian beliefs without indoctrinating their students and children?Yes, they can teach Christian beliefs without indoctrinating their students and childre n they need to be careful when a child is to be handled as their minds are immature. At times it is difficult to understand them because their way of thinking is varied. Firstly before going to the next process, the first process has to be resolved. As teachers and parents are the role models for the development. In order to develop and understand these three role models should be systematically developed first. Only by lasting this rule, they can achieve the development in child. But the point lies beneath that how teachers and parents can prove themselves as an effective source of development by keeping in mind the relative factor of Childs mind compatibility and psychology? As there are variations in psychological behavior teachers and parents should be mentally prepared, be changeable and adjustment oriented accordingly. The political and current affair of the nation is affected by corruption and evilness rationally which gave birth to vivid factors like jealousy, modesty and so on, making humans built a tendency to mislead the positive factors. The situations have made the teachers adapt those inequalities within them, affecting the surrounding factors. Parents have too due to their increasing self priority created barriers of understanding among their families. Many people are often drawn towards the attention of the church because of their felt needs and not for spiritual needs. For instance, it does occur that why the youth is tuned out of his own way? Even in their interaction with their own members it tends to happen with them that they fail to hear a word said to them stating I didnt hear a word you said?, even though it is obvious that they have said something relating to us. This proves a kind of negligence in contacting the positive mechanism which grows in the back of our minds. Such system blocks all the wanted and useful messages allowing us to hear and see only what our mind tells us to hear and believe. As this tendency is increased in the yo uth generation, it is creating gaps between a believer and faith of god.The question is How? How can we overcome this problem? Youth have themselves developed a capacity in mind to hear only what pleasures them without taking a decision that whether it is false or truth. My query is How we can bring these groups of youth closer to god? Unconsciously resulting in unexpected calamities and unknowingly they are unable to repent it wisely. Due to this increasing factor, youth cant get a grip of effective communication and develop themselves internally. Here the parents then enter the scene to play their role. The main question lies whether the local churches fulfill and meet to mature disciples in Christian education? As stated above, youth are the most critical of all critics when it comes to religion. In this modern era, youth is distracted to church because they are building castles in air due to the unmaterialistic desire. Youth today have focused their deal to crave success and p rosperity for their rising life graph they exploit their own ones due to greed and selfishness. During the primary phase of struggle and hard work, youth craves to achieve prosperity, at the same time, do thank god and accept his involvement for success, but hand in hand, lack to follow the bibles ethics which says to respect others in and with unity. Due to the competition and growth politically, more often youth seem to push the fellow mates and strive to takeover their place. They themselves are unsuspecting that they give birth to exploitation and inequality. And due to inequality, unity is declined, wherein bible does not specify inequality. In a book source, Pastor Rick Warren illustrates in his book The Purpose-Driven Church -The issue is church health, not church growth declares warren. if your church is healthy, growth will occur naturally. Healthy consistent growth is the result of balancing the five biblical purposes of the church. In addition to this he also declares that If u concentrate on building people, God will build the church.I agree at a certain point with the above statement. I herewith would want to magnify on How would one build a healthy youth for a healthy church? In this sense I believe that both are co-related with each other. Again the issue arises in my mind How will the church be healthy if the youth is unhealthy? The issue cant be only concentrated on church. For a church to survive, the prefatorial foundation is the youth and for the youth to be saved and attracted the church has to be healthy. In my knowledge it is a Vicious Circle.Local churches upto some extent do specifically fulfill the discipleship through the practices and play a great emphasis in fulfilling and conveying the message of god to us, but still lack to read the minds and bring the youth closer to her, for which she has to upgrade her atmospheric appearance with new packages to reach the youth in a new taste due to the agonistic modernism which is hoveri ng on the youth. The latter part can play the best part coz when first falls in place, everything else falls in place, from the beginning to the end, from all angles in all walks of life. Towards a healthy faith, healthy church can turn and seed a growth of spirituality through which mankind will grow spiritually from within thereby causing church growth.Author Perry G. Down states in his book Teaching for spiritual growth that how can we best enable Christians to grow towards maturity? For this question he suggests three key concepts- ministry, believer, and purpose. But my understanding says that these concepts are incomplete somewhere to create a nonplus in reaching the results because todays youth is attracted towards the unrealistic worldly matters, but has resulted in declination towards the gods spiritual growth. The major role connecting these three concepts is commitment and effort. As the church ministry is the foundation pillar, the main aim is how much measure of commit ment is valued and given to achieve the target successfully. Mankind is able to commit only when he chooses the right direction in fear and is able but this is unfortunate as the alien world tend to let us unidentify the type of strategies of growth for maturity. By identifying the type of strategies of growth, we can understand the level of growth required towards maturity at which we can be spiritual. Another reason for in growth is fear. As the youth fears to face unexpected problems, the efforts are less and require the hierarchys support.Author Gary C. Newton stated in his book Going towards spiritual maturity quotes the principle that God is ultimately responsible for all spiritual growth. The question arises at this point that if god is responsible for everything, what will be the purpose and role of human? I comment that while god supplies the resources like bible, church, Holy Spirit, baptism, it is also our responsibility to supply effort and commitment to utilize those r esources and give results to god. In bible, Paul highlights this principle of his personal lifestyle and in his teachings comparing with the example of a soldier or athlete to illustrate the amount of sincerity and efforts. (1 Corinthians 924-27), Paul states that In a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize. I herewith conclude in a Christian race all runners (ministry, believers, purpose) will fail to get a prize if there is no effort that is commitment from everyone.Along with the concept of ministry, believer, purpose effort is also the key concept and it has to be achieved from the youth as well. A healthy youth will gain efforts only when the growth will favour them from within, when the forces of the ministry believers and youth will collide with each other to form a healthy growth. This will create a mutual relationship between gods planningal resources and our alert involvement in process which is more clearly in Philippians 212-13 Continue to work out your s alvation with fear and trembling, for it is god who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. This principle is intricate but the application is clear. If one is to grow towards maturity in Christ then one must cultivate and demonstrate the efforts with passion, Philippians 217-18 But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you be glad and rejoice with me.Therefore the conclusion lies in the above concept, both effort of the youth along with the work of ministry, believers proves in the healthiness of the church. In the book Youth At Risk by shot Christian Olsen, 2003, he highlights four basic needs which he has clearly created an awareness of the effects that affects the development of youthAcceptance belongingNew beginnings and randomness chances forgivenessSignificance generosityFreedom independenceI agree with his confirmation that he examines in deriving the above developmental needs from the provision of the Almightys resources as the absence of these needs do intentionally contribute in how they shape the personality, maturity, responsibility and stability of emotions. He emphasizes Christian community in act to the needs determining that, the resources will be polishing youth through support during the fear and avoid them from destruction. At times the concepts will be foreign, indigestive for youth because unable to realize its importance. Rather the community need not re-interpret or change the language but simplify their thoughts and improve their visionary and understanding by change in structure through a friendly communication by becoming an effective leader to bridge the gap between the church and the youth. Therefore forces and efforts are needed for decision making which is an effective key in respond to ministry believer and purpose for a possibility of a healthy youth to build a healthy church, which will mak e the church flourish.Supporting surveysAccording to a survey, some findings proved that church fails to answer every question of the youth.Q.1 In what way and sense is Christian religion, faith and church viewed by todays modern youth?Youth of todays modern era is firm on the point stating that inspiration is lacked in religion they feel that the world is divided through religion and is the major factor which is affecting the growth. A 17-year-old Jude from Kent says confidently that He does not agree with the church who talks on subject morality and is Overfilled with traditionality.Youth pick their ideas which suit their taste through various religious beliefs. There are few in bunch who strongly believe, there exist only single religion which has controlled the truth. Young generation refer to perform all activities as per their own desire which in return less importance to the religious belief are being given, which gives birth to the side effects of the conduct.Q.2 wherefore do young crowd feel that Christianity is not a happening cultural activity? An 18-year-old Marcus said that he left church when he was 15 because the teachings did not amuse him and it did not interest him of anything as a youth. The major quest, a struggle for a religion is to impose an exertion of force of involvement in terms of attraction. I usually attend church service wherein I find young ones missing the services. I kept questioning myself that, where the young crowd has disappeared? Surprisingly the young ones have taken charge for the attendance of the church. In this consequence the church should give priority to change its curriculum and its way of presenting the services with new attractive packages for enhancement.Q.3 Are the young preachers practicing different approaches in Christianity declining. What are your suggestions? As the attendance of the youth in church has declined, but on the other hand people practicing approaches are increasing in numbers. The following i s revealed through one of the youths that more the deepening are the studies of the bible, more a person becomes a hypocrite of the Christian leadership and unintentionally accepts and performs the lifes
